These 5 Morning Rituals are great ways to start the day healthy, happy and focused for your best day ever. Try them and tell me what was your favorite tip!
Gratitude, Love and Laughter
My alarm goes off at 5:30 am. This used to be 4:30 am when I was in my 30’s but rest is the fountain of youth! Before I do anything, I take my 9 month old puppy out of his kennel and pull him into bed with us. Gratitude for this moment. Laughter, Louie usually wakes up my husband by jumping on his head, prompting my laughter, not my husband’s ha ha! Love, we lay there and snuggle until 6 am.
Prayer & Meditation
At 6 am, I let Louie outside then we go outside then downstairs to workout. Morning devotions or meditation happen on the Stairmaster for the next 30 minutes. It’s my quiet time to pray and listen for the messages I receive. I pray for direction on how I am to impact this world and be my best today. This time of solitude creates clarity and aligns me with my mission and purpose.
Exercise
I exercise every day. I’ve been a marathon runner, fitness instructor, and done fitness competitions for over 10 years. Now and probably for the rest of my life, I’m loving yoga! I love love love Boho Beautiful yoga videos. My home workouts are 45 minutes to an hour of yoga and 30 minutes cardio. Then ending with taking the dog for a walk. All the while, I’m doing yoga, Louie is making valiant attempts to jump on my head.
Hydration
Simple one – 2 liters water before I leave the house or eat anything. Plus one cup of lemon water. You can do just the lemon or try adding some turmeric and cayenne. Love how thorough the benefits are described here. It gets my digestive system moving!
Daily Goals
I write out 3-5 goals that I must accomplish that day. Here’s the deal, you WILL be able to accomplish three goals and when you do you will feel awesome and it will build your confidence! If you write down 15 goals and only do 3 how would you feel? I guarantee if you write down 3 “must” goals, your confidence will increase!
Have an amazing day!
Love and Light,
Kris
